Japanese Maples
A collection of Japanese maples, located on the south-facing slope below the reservoir, were planted for their ornamental effects. Highland's collection varies in growth habit from upright to weeping forms, in color from green to red or purple, and in texture from broad fan-shaped leaves to deeply cut fern-like foliage.
